Manage my Investments

Change my designation of beneficiary

It is important that you notify Outlook if you wish to change the beneficiary on your registered investment plans (RRSPs and RRIFs) or Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA). Your beneficiary information will not be changed automatically by any change of marital status or family situation.

If you are converting your RRSP into a RRIF, be aware that they are considered two separate plans. You must designate a new beneficiary for your RRIF even if you are naming the same person.

To designate or change the Designation of Beneficiary on your RRSP, RRIF or TFSA:

  1. Complete the online Designation of Beneficiary form.
  2. Print and sign the form.
  3. Have a witness sign the form. The witness cannot be a beneficiary or relative of the annuitant.
  4. Send the form by mail to the following address:

      Outlook Financial
      Box 2, Station Main
      Winnipeg MB R3C 2G1

Your Designation of Beneficiary will be updated within 2 business days of receipt.

If you have provided an email address on the Designation of Beneficiary form, we will confirm your update by email.
