Elections 2014

How to Cast Your Ballot

Members have the option of voting either online or by mail-in ballot. To help us reduce our impact on the environment, we encourage all eligible members to follow the simple steps to casting your vote online.

Election of Directors

You can vote for three, or fewer than three, but not more than three candidates. Simply mark your ballot beside the name(s) of the candidate(s) you wish to vote for.

To Vote Online

Go to ACU’s secure online voting website by selecting either

Enter your Voter ID and Voter Password as printed on your ballot that was mailed to you in early March. This will authenticate your online ballot.

Vote by clicking beside the name(s) of the candidate(s) you wish to vote for.

Review your selection(s).

Once you have reviewed all of your selection(s), click submit to send your online vote to our independent scrutineers.

Online voting will close at 11:59 pm on April 5, 2013.

To Vote by Mail

Complete and sign the Authentication section. Failure to do so will void the ballot.

Mark your ballot beside the name(s) of the candidate(s) you wish to vote for.

Once you have completed and signed the Authentication section, and marked your ballot, separate them at the perforations.

Place your Authentication form and ballot into the reply envelope.

Drop the sealed reply envelope into a Canada Post mail box so it is postmarked no later than April 5, 2013. Postage is not required if the enclosed reply envelope is used.

Voter Confidentiality

No one at Assiniboine Credit Union will have access to the ballots. All votes, whether online or by mail, will be received and tabulated by our independent scrutineers, ensuring voter confidentiality. The results will be announced at our Annual General Meeting on April 22, 2013. Following the Annual General Meeting, all ballots will be destroyed by our independent scrutineers. There will not be voting on the election of directors at the Annual General Meeting, except in the event of a tie for the last available position on the board, in which case, a vote to break the tie will be held at the meeting.
