Applying to Outlook is fast, simple and secure. Depending on the options you choose, your application should take about 5-10 minutes to complete.

Before you begin

To open an account at Outlook Financial you must:

• be at least 18 years of age
• have an account at another Canadian financial institution
• have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
• have a valid email address
• be comfortable managing your accounts through the Internet and ATMs
• agree to purchase a $5.00 member share if you are a new member

Outlook Financial offers personal accounts only. Outlook does not offer business, Power.of Attorney, or Trust (formal and informal) accounts.

Complete an Outlook Financial Application

1. Please read the Outlook Member Account Agreement before completing your application.
2. Complete our online Membership Application form.
3. Print, sign and date your form. You should also save a copy of the form for your records.
4. If you are opening a TFSA, RRSP or RRIF plan, include the appropriate signed applications.
5. If you would like to transfer an existing TFSA, RRSP or RRIF to Outlook, complete a Direct-Transfer-in form as well.
6. Complete a cheque for your initial deposit.
   • Please include $5.00 for the purchase of a member share for each new member. If you are already a member of Assiniboine Credit Union, you do not need to purchase a share.
   • The cheque must be a personalized cheque drawn on a Canadian financial institution made payable to Outlook Financial. This is a requirement of the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) Act.
   • Your cheque must include and be signed by all applicants listed on the application form, or joint applicants must submit individual personalized cheques.
   • Write your cheque for the amount of your initial deposit as well as any $5.00 member shares being purchased. For example, if your deposit is $500 and you are the sole applicant, then the cheque should be made out for $505.00.
   • Please note that your account cannot be opened without receipt of your personalized cheque and member share funds..
7. Mail all forms, including your personalized cheque(s) to:

After you apply

Your account will be open within 3 business days after receipt of your application. Once completed, you will receive an email notification welcoming you to Outlook Financial and giving you all the information you need to manage your accounts.

Your Member Card(s) and cheques (if requested) will arrive seven to ten business days after your application is processed. Your PIN for your Member Card will arrive separate from your card for security reasons.

Once you receive both your Member Card and your PIN, please contact us to set up Online Banking and Telephone Banking.
