Governance

Good governance is democracy at its best. Today, transparency, accountability, diversity and training are recognized as cornerstones of good governance by credit unions around the world.

As a division of Assiniboine Credit Union, Outlook Financial is governed by the democratic principles and financial regulations of the Manitoba credit union system.

  • The Executive Leadership manages the operations of the credit union, and fulfills the direction given by the elected Board of Directors.
  • Our Mission and Core Values direct the ethical, environmental, and socially responsible way in which we conduct our financial co-operative.
  • We follow International Co-operative Principles that direct how our values are put into practice.
  • Membership gives you a say in how we do business.
  • Elections to the board take place annually. Terms are three years and a director may serve for four terms, after when they must wait two years before putting their name forward again. Members have the option of voting by mail or online. Results are announced at the Annual Meeting.
  • The Annual Report and Financial Statements cover the yearly business activities of Assiniboine Credit Union.
